A Bit More....

This is a very brief overview of my years of absence from blogging. My youngest son was given the chance to work in Australia for the firm he worked for here.  He returned from Munich and got himself ready to move and just at that exact moment, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.  He put off going for a few weeks but eventually had to go while I was undergoing treatment. I had surgery, chemo and radiotherapy.  It was hard and scary but I got through it, losing my hair on the way.  I went from having a long blonde bob to short, very straight grey hair. This photo was taken when I lost my hair at first and got my daughter and husband to clipper the rest off!  This also fell out but left me, weirdly, with a head of very fine blonde fluff!  It was cold having no hair but I embraced the baldness and didn't wear the wig the NHS provided for me. My youngest surprised me by arriving on my doorstep dressed as santa just before Christmas that year....
