Getting Creative

I didn't want to leave my grumpy post on here too long so I thought I'd better come up with something more upbeat quickly!

I'm feeling much more myself today.  I've been busy in the kitchen this morning.  I dug out my food processor and after much studying of how to use the darned thing, I eventually managed to chop all my veg for soup, plus the veg for coleslaw, and also the veg for tonights dinner - mashed carrot and turnip to go with our steak pie and mash!  I also squeezed three ratty looking oranges into juice too, which was very nice I have to say and I slid my way to the bottom of the garden with all the peelings for the compost heap which has been dug out by what I assume is a fox!   It's doing a great job of turning it all over for me!

I think I also feel better because when I whatsapped my art girl friends yesterday and said how fed up I was feeling they all came back and said what I need is some motivation and came up with an art challenge for us all to do!  We've to paint or draw a winter sky and we'll all show our works of art on whatsapp on Friday afternoon, so to that end, I'm now up in my art room and as soon as I finish doing this I'm going to switch off the computer and begin trying to remember how to paint!  I've dug out the paint and brushes now all I need is the confidence to use them!  I'll let you see what I come up with on Friday!  Friends are great aren't they, I'm so grateful for mine at the moment, the ones at home here and online ones too.  Being home so much gives you too much time to over think everything and get angry and frustrated.  Time to get creative again I think.  I hope you all have friends to help you along and something creative to keep you from thinking too much.  Take care, see you once I've finished my painting! x

  1. So glad you're feeling better today. The exercise is helping me. It passes an hour on, I catch up with TV while cycling, and I'm too busy following the aerobic workout on TV to have time to think! Looking forward to seeing your painting. I'm sure it will be fab xx

    1. You're doing well to do exercise on the bike. Willie used a bike during first lockdown but soon got bored and gave up. I've tried a couple of times and I hate it with a passion! I'm very out of practice painting and I'm not good at on the spot stuff so I don't expect much! x

  2. Can't wait to see what you paint. I don't have an artistic bone in my body so I'm jealous!

  3. That's what friends are for! I enjoy singing, but that is about as artistic as I get.

    1. Singing is good for you. Friends are great. I don't have many close friends but the ones I have are brilliant. x

    2. A few quality friends is all we need. My sisters are artistic, bakers, handy - me, the entire gene skipped me!

    3. Oh I'll bet there's something you do brilliantly that you don't think about and others admire. A few friends are indeed all we need and you're lucky to have sisters too. I often wished I had a sister. x
